4.9 | Child Supervision and Endangerment

4.9.A | Students are responsible for proper supervision of all children at all times. If young children are found without proper adult supervision, staff will make reasonable attempts to contact the parent or caregiver. The parent or caregiver should be prepared to show identification. If the parent or caregiver cannot be located, the University Police Department will be contacted.

4.9.B | Children who are disruptive, display inappropriate behaviors or require excessive staff attention may be asked to leave.

4.9.C | All staff members are required to abide by the Texas reporting laws for abusive and neglectful supervision.

4.9.D | The Texas Family Code defines neglectful supervision as placing a child in or failing to remove a child from a situation that requires judgment or actions beyond the child's level of maturity, physical condition or mental abilities.
